Diamond Platnumz, a Tanzanian artist, used Confederate flags in the video for his current popular song. During the American Civil War, the Confederacy was a coalition of southern states that fought to preserve slavery alive, and the flags are considered as divisive and a symbol of racial tensions in the United States. Two of the flags are featured in one of Diamond’s video moments while he dances in a cowboy outfit.
