Made In Taadi: Kofi Kinaata announces activities lined-up for this year’s concert

The 2021 edition of the “Made In Taadi” concert will feature three major events in two cities, the management of multiple award-winning rapper and singer, Kofi Kinaata, announced.

Commemorating the 5th edition of the highly patronized annual concert, management announced an all-new “Corporate Highlife” show which will be held at the +233 Jazz Bar and Grill, Accra, on December 4. The event will host a carefully selected Ghanaian highlife artist alongside Kofi Kinaata, to give patrons a memorable experience.

The performances will feature a blend of veteran and budding highlife artistes, including AB Crentsil, Kofi Bentil, Kyei Nyom, Akwaboah, Cina Soul, Abiana, Abochi, and Taadi Pozo.

On December 23, Kofi Kinaata will host a “Capacity Building Seminar” in Sekondi-Takoradi. The seminar is aimed at equipping the youth of Ghana with the requisite life and career development skills needed to survive in this post-COVID era. Themed “Untapped Opportunities In A Pandemic Era,” the seminar will feature professional keynote speakers who will offer the audience insight into a range of career development skills.

“This is in line with our objective of always making the Christmas festivities memorable for our fans and also giving back to society,” management said in a statement.

The 3-day activities will be climaxed by the main event, “Made In Taadi”—an open-air concert which will see performances from some of Ghana’s finest music talents. It is scheduled for December 24th, 2021 in Sekondi-Takoradi. It is one of the biggest musical concert in the Western and Central Regions of Ghana. The concert attracts fans of Kofi Kinaata and people from all classes in society. Fans travel far and near for this concert.

The show has been witnessed by fellow artists such as; Stonebwoy, Sarkodie, Shatta Wale, Pappy Kojo, Joey B, Kwaw Kese, Medikal, Kidi, Edem, etc. In 2019, it was listed as one of the top 100 events in Ghana by Ghana Event Awards. However, management is yet to announce the lineup for this year’s edition of the concert.

Born Martin King Arthur, the Ghanaian musician and songwriter from Takoradi is noted for his Fante rap and freestyle and therefore known as the Fante Rap God (FRG). Apart from his rap prowess, he has grown into a very good singer taking the highlife genre by storm. He is also noted for his lyrical dexterity in terms of unique rhyme schemes and humorous Fante rap style with a touch of traditional African proverbs in his local language to entertain and educate.

Kofi Kinaata has won song writer of the year in the Ghana Music Awards. for three consecutive times.
