Melanated NFT Gallery (MNFTG), a new blockchain services organization, has published the unique works of the late rapper DMX, allowing fans to own some of his classic compositions.
According to DMC News, the public auction comes after the business previously stated that the legendary rapper’s long-term companion, DJ Superior, collaborated with the MNFTG to develop an NFT series dubbed DarkMan X No Words. The auction for the collection, which includes unreleased recordings, transcribed lyrics from his personal rhyming book, a freestyle battle, rare photographs, and more, began on December 31st. A portion of the revenue will most likely go to DMX’s family.
As previously stated, MNFTG intends to release one extra one-of-a-kind and Black artist-inspired NFT. The firm is rumored to be introducing a three-part NFT series named ‘Synesthesia’ in honor of jazz musician Miles Davis, although the release date has yet to be disclosed.
Founded in 2021, the start up is billed as the very first blockchain technology company possessed as well as handled by a Black lady. DMX, one of the most popular and successful rappers to emerge in the 1990s, died on April 9. He was 50. Prior to his death, he was hospitalized after suffering a heart attack. His manager, Steve Rifkind, said that he remained on life support and in a coma, and was scheduled to undergo brain function tests. Initial reports said DMX suffered the heart attack after an overdose, but his reps have not confirmed that information.
The gruff-voiced New York rapper, whose real name was Earl Simmons, first emerged in the late 1990s, with two enormously successful albums, his debut “It’s Dark and Hell Is Hot” and “… And Then There Was X,” both of which went to No. 1. He released seven studio albums and appeared in several films, including “Belly” and “Romeo Must Die,” but his life and career were dogged by substance abuse and run-ins with the law that saw him serving time in prison.
