150 Russian soldiers killed after trying to take Mariupol, Ukrainian authorities say

Ukraine’s Ministry of Defence has claimed 150 Russian troops were killed after trying to take control of the southern port city.

Authorities yesterday said they had repelled an attack by Russian forces.

The latest update claims two Russian tanks were also destroyed during the fighting, and that some members of the Russian Armed Forces are refusing to follow orders.

Mariupol is seeing the worst humanitarian crisis in the country, with residents struggling to access food and key supplies, but it remains under Ukrainian control.
