The organisers of the Emerging Music Awards in Ghana are calling on artistes, record labels, producers, artiste managers and the general public, to file for nominations ahead of the 2022 edition slated for 1 October.
The awards platform, which is now in its fourth year, recognize deserving upcoming musicians from all the major musical genres in Ghana spanning “Album of the Year,” “Music Producer of the Year,” “Dancehall Artiste of the Year,” “Gospel Artiste of the Year,” “Hip Hop Artiste of the Year.”
Works to be submitted must have been published between 1 June 2021 and 31 May 2022 in order to be eligible. You can submit your nominations here before July 31.
Created by Kusstar Entertainment in collaboration with Kri8 Concept, this year’s edition is running under the theme, Give the Music A Chance, and the winners will be determined by a jury, an academy of Ghanaian entertainment gatekeepers and general public votes. At the 2021 edition, hip hop artist Black Sherif won the coveted Emerging Artist of the Year prize.
