Club ‘held transfer meeting’ with Reds man on Monday
Divock Origi will be free to leave Liverpool at the end of the season on a free transfer, and AC Milan, according to Tuttomercatoweb, met with him to discuss a potential deal on Monday.
Origi is free to speak to clubs abroad with his contact inside the last six months and a move will almost certainly happen to take him away from Anfield, with AS Roma also having been linked with the Belgian.
Several Premier League sides are likely to be interested as well should Origi decide to stay in England.
Left-back scouted
Liverpool have been sending scouts to watch 19-year-old Scottish left-back Aaron Hickey this season, according to 90min, who claim that the Reds are one of a number of top sides monitoring the youngster.
Hickey currently plays for Bologna in Italy, despite being born in Glasgow. He was linked with Bayern Munich in 2020 but ended up making the switch to Serie A that summer from Hearts.
Liverpool and the rest of the ‘big six’ in England are all said to be watching him closely, while Bayern are also thought to still be keen. Juventus and Napoli are also listed as potential destinations.
Michael Edwards ‘wanted’
Liverpool sporting director Michael Edwards will be leaving at the end of the season — and Champions League rivals PSG are reportedly eyeing up a move for him.
Their current sporting director, Leonardo, is under pressure at the moment with PSG having exited the European competition at the last-16 stage, while Lionel Messi and Neymar were booed by their own fans recently in protest at the ‘Galactico’ model.
The former Tottenham transfer guru, The Telegraph report, is one of several names, including his Spurs equivalent Fabio Paratici, on a shortlist that has been drawn up by the Ligue 1 side.
£59m ‘offer’ made
According to Mundo Deportivo, Liverpool have set their sights on Real Sociedad’s Swedish forward Alexander Isak and are ready to beat Arsenal to the signing of him in the summer.
Manchester City are also said to be interested in the 22-year-old but the report states that Liverpool have even tried to test the waters with a €70m (£59m) proposal through an intermediary.
Last season, Isak netted 17 times in 34 matches and then impressed at the European Championships, but this season has only scored four times.
