Lorna Maseko, a TV personality and celebrity chef, has announced a new lifestyle TV program that will air on BBC Lifestyle (DSTV Channel 174) on March 23 at 8 p.m.

The award-winning South African cookbook author of “Celebrate with Lorna Maseko,” dubbed “Homegrown Tastes South Africa,” will be discussing cuisine and digging into the finest of what Mzansi has to offer. This new food program looks at everything from gourmet cuisine to urban street food culture, as well as foods particular to an area, food sustainability, and fynbos foraging.

Every destination she visits has a unique tale to tell about cuisine, flavor, and technique. She also goes through all of the possibilities, including a wine and cheese tasting and a seafood diversion. In each episode, she receives professional advice from a famous chef and is accompanied on her culinary escapades by a celebrity.

Lorna Maseko was on M-“MasterChef Net’s SA” in the celebrity version, presented “Top Chef SA,” and has her own culinary program, “The Hostess with Lorna Maseko,” on SABC3.
