Ukraine has begun selling grain to Russia.

According to TASS news agency, which cited a local official, the Russian-controlled area of Kherson is transporting grain gathered last year to Russia.

Ukraine has previously accused Russia of taking its food from Russian-controlled territory.

The Military-Civilian Agency is also working on shipping supplies of sunflower seeds to local and Russian processing factories, according to Kirill Stremousov, deputy director of the administration.

Because the two nations export a quarter of the world’s wheat and are major providers of barley, sunflower seed oil, and maize, Russia’s invasion of Ukraine has put global food supply in jeopardy.
