The Music In Africa Conference for Collaborations, Exchange and Showcases (ACCES) is calling on musicians, producers, sound engineers and those interested in professional music production to participate in the ACCES 2021 workshops, scheduled for 26 and 27 November in Johannesburg, South Africa.
NOTE: Participants will first need to register for ACCES 2021 before they can register for the workshops. ACCES 2021 registration is mandatory and on a first-come, first-served basis. African delegates register for free. Register here.

Music Production Essentials
Date and time: Friday 26 November (10 am to 5 pm) and Saturday 27 November (2 pm to 5 pm)
Venue: Sci-Bono Discovery Centre, Johannesburg
Presented by: Reeperbahn Festival International
Overview: This two-day workshop will be steered by producer and musician 37mph and singer, songwriter and producer Muzi, who will share their production skills on beat-making, music arrangement, DAWs, plugins and more. The workshop is designed for both aspiring and established producers who want to improve their knowledge of music production.
Taking Your Music to the Stores – The Importance of Metadata
Date and time: Saturday 27 November (10 am to 11 am)
Venue: Sci-Bono Discovery Centre
Presented by: Ditto Music
Overview: Ditto Music regional manager for Africa Wendy Verwey Bekker will teach participants how to be efficient in digital music distribution with a focus on metadata when releasing their music on DSPs.
Songwriting, Release Strategies and Touring Tips
Date and time: Saturday 27 November (11 am to 12 pm)

Overview: Join prolific artist manager, booking expert, promoter, creative producer and consultant Jess White from Akum Agency as he talks about release strategies, management, touring and other elements that contribute to the success of independent artists.
How to Build a Music Brand That Is True to Your Sound
Date and time: Saturday 27 November (12 pm to 1 pm)
Venue: Sci-Bono Discovery Centre
Presented by: Reeperbahn Festival International
Overview: Hip hop artist Gigi Lamayne and artist manager Cuthbert Ndlovu will take indie musicians through the steps of creating a brand that resonates with audiences. The facilitators will also speak about partnerships and sponsorship deals that can create added revenue streams for musicians.
