Fuel price increases: We’ll announce new rates on Wednesday — Transportation companies

The Concerned Drivers Association believes the Coalition of Private Transport Operators will agree on an increase in transportation rates by February 2.

The Coalition of Private Transport Operators will reach a decision on whether to raise transportation rates or continue to seek lower taxes on petroleum products on Wednesday, February 2, 2022.

This is in response to transportation companies’ worries over recent gasoline price increases.

David Agboado, Public Relations Officer of the Concerned Drivers Association, told Citi News that the operators would make a public notice about their decision and new transportation charges before approaching Parliament for abolishing certain gasoline taxes.
